Violence in Video Games

Posted by adam under games

I’ve been doing a lot of reading lately on violence in video games and how it affects people who play them. I found this interesting video capture of an interview on G4 (Tech TV) with the authors of a new book on video game violence and children.

The interesting point made by them is that boys who don’t play violent video games at all are more prone to violent behavior. It can be an indication of poor social interaction when boys don’t get involved in playing games when their peers do play.

that sounds logical because back then video games were seen as anti-social but now nearly everyone plays it so it’s more of a social thing.
