Vending Machines: An Analysis of the Cost to Value Ratio

Posted by lesly under fun

This is more a question than an actual post, but why is it that I have no problem paying $0.85 for this:

diet coke

or $1.29 for this:

bottled water

but it seems ridiculous for me to pay $0.85 for this?

canned water

That is ridiculous. Doesn’t your office have a water cooler?

  2. krissy Says:

I’m pretty sure you’re having trouble with that last one because it’s water in an aluminum can.

    That’s just unnatural.

  3. jill Says:

I wouldn’t pay for either water because they both have ridiculously silly names. Deja Blue? What?

  4. miranda Says:

How does that water taste? I can’t imagine it tasting good.

  5. adam Says:

I agree. You should only drink water from it’s natural environment, the plastic bottle.

  6. lesly Says:

Yeah, I don’t mind paying premium for the plastic bottle as long as it insures purity. I mean, this one was bottled from the springs of the Arizona Ozarka Mountains!

…. wait, the bottle says the source is Wood County, Texas.

    **spits out**

PS, what is the difference between Diet Coke and Coke Zero?

  8. lesly Says:

    Marketing, mostly.

    Diet Coke: aspartame
    Coke Zero: aspartame & ace-K

Supposedly, Coke Zero tastes more like real Coke. We never had regular Coke in the house growing up, so I wouldn’t be able to tell you if that’s true or not.
